Dallas Drunk Driving Lawyer – Questions

What will happen if someone decides not to provide a breath or blood test?

Technically there will not be any consequences for refusing the officer’s test request. However, practically several things will probably happen. You will likely be arrested for DWI because you have not given the officer the one piece of definitive proof he wants, your refusal will probably be used against you in trial, and the suspension on your license will be longer than if you had provided a sample. For more information on if you should provide a sample, see the article Should I Submit to a Breathalyzer Test.
